HOMESTEAD, Pa. -- Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire Thursday morning, injuring a man near the Homestead-Munhall border.

Police are not releasing any information right now, but dispatchers said the unidentified man was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with a gunshot wound.

The man was shot near the intersection of East Eighth Avenue and Dickson Street, close to the scene of another crime. Earlier, a car was found shot up at about 3:30 a.m.

There’s no word on whether the crimes are connected.
